It's an awesome resource for Farmer's Markets - I just wanted to throw that out there as a point of clarification for anyone who is new to the CSA model. There are a few local CSAs that have a regular presence at Farmer's Markets (like Native Offerings at Elmwood-Bidwell) and other city locations (Promised Land has several drop-off location in Buffalo), but my experience has been that sign ups are done in direct contact with the farm, especially since CSAs seems to often fill up early in the season. There are lots of options with pick-ups directly at the farm location, too, which can be great for u-pick options (big plug here for Thorpe's in East Aurora, best organic strawberries in WNY) and for additional share options like fruit (there are more veggie CSAs than fruit), plus direct-from-farm meat, eggs, dairy, etc. Localharvest.org is a great resource for CSAs, and Eatwild.com is awesome for other local foodie options. And this great list above is fantastic for Farmer's Markets, which are always so fun. :)

This is looking like maybe more of a list of Farmer’s Markets, rather than direct contacts for CSA farms? I had a great WOD, loved the facility and Mary Hunt was kind enough to let me shower at her place so I did not stink up the car on the rest of the trip that day. These all were significant reasons to "LIKE" Crossfit Buffalo, but I also got the opportunity to sign up for the posts that come out. Sometimes I incorporate the WOD into my programming, other times it is the tips and videos, a la garbage snatch and many others, and recently I was alerted to the "Trent" event and I was inspired me to participate making me feel like a part of your community. But tonight "Fat chick does Crossfit" appeared and once again I am reminded why this is such a great culture and what an awesome box CF Buffalo is. This post reminds me simultaneously why I was myself drawn to Crossfit and it bitch slapped me and put me in my place. It does not matter how fast you can finish the METCON, how many reps you do, how many bumpers you loaded on the bar or how loud it sounds when you drop it from overhead, we all face the same challenges and are constantly looking to improve and make ourselves better people. Regardless of how long you have been part of this cult we are all equal and must keep our minds open to learn from anyone. Keep at it "fat chick"! You are my inspiration and tomorrow, even though I won't be there in Buffalo I will be WODDING side-by-side with you.

I dropped in at Crossfit Buffalo once last summer, when I had an extended delay waiting for my wife to fly in on a trip to Ontario to visit family.
