Talent has limits. Most people today recognize this and then naturally turn to some form of sports training to maximize their potential.
However, all too often we see young athletes becoming far too sport specific in their training at too early an age. This paves the way for many muscular imbalances that are counter productive to overall healthy movement and increase the risk for overuse injury.
Our youth strength and conditioning program focuses on all around athletic training, injury prevention, and skill development for young athletes.
Our goal is to produce healthy, strong, mobile, and resilient young athletes through creation of body awareness, proper muscle memory and foundational strength. These are qualities that will carry over into your child’s success both on and off the field no matter what their chosen sport.
Kids need to learn how to move correctly before they can train correctly. Here they learn to lift, jump, climb, pull , push, etc. Not as a means to build muscle but as a template for their bodies to use as their training grows with them. Once these foundations are laid we increase both intensity and complexity of exercise as each individual is ready for.
