Coach Holly Abbott has been a CrossFitter for six years and specializes in functional movements. “I’m a licensed physical therapist, so I focus on correct/proper form, mobility and stretches to address any injuries or pain,” she says. “I developed a passion for CrossFit and working towards goals. When I started, I couldn’t do pull ups, muscle ups and my form with lifting was a train wreck. After working hard I started knocking things off the list I couldn’t do. It was encouraging all the hard work I was putting in was paying off and motivating to push myself harder. That’s what I love about coaching, using what I learned that helped me to accomplish movements/goals to help members work towards achieving goals.”
Holly played several sports when she was younger (soccer, basketball, softball, gymnastics and track), and later on just enjoyed being active and working out. She was a team member on CFB and went to CrossFit regionals in 2013. Holly recently had a baby and loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys “anything outside when it’s nice out—I hit the beach or pool. I love anything active, like running, walks and yoga.
